This years London Affiliate Conference has been a great conference – the venue was Old Billingsgate right on the Thames and near the City of London and close enough to the West End which made it really convenient to get to and easy enough to go out partying. The Venue itself was not as large as previous venues have been but it did lend itself to being a l0t more intimate and a lot more conducive to doing business.
The GamblingAffiliate.org team – namely myself attended both days of the conference and congratulations and thanks must go once again to the organisers of the event. It has proven to be a very useful networking event. One of the things that is noticeable in recent years is the growing dominance of the large brands. Some of the best Affiliate programs do not even have stands at the conference although they do attend to have meetings.
The stand out booth this year must go to the Ladbrokes Affiliate Team who managed to create an awesome booth and released a brand new Casino promotion that others are going to find hard to emulate. With all of that on offer i found it very hard once again to attend any of the sessions.Most of these sessions turn out to be self promotion and perhaps i should start to attend some.You can never be to young to learn a thing or two. I did run into J todd of the APCW whose videos we use .You can see the latest one below and as ever he was as gracious as could be.
The Casino affiliate industry still awaits the Ecogra report into the Grand Prive debacle and it is going to be interesting to see what they come up with. I am sure that they know a lot of people are watching how they handle this.

The London Affiliate Conference is nearly upon us later on this week with loads of parties being thrown by the different affiliate programs and a host of meetings being set up. What if any does this mean to your bottom line is a question i need to ask. Well for me it is not about the bottom line but the opportunity to meet up with fellow webmasters that makes the difference. Surprisingly enough gambling webmasters are a co operative bunch of souls despite beig in such a tough competitive industry.
Last week I had a minor rant re the Bet365 Affiliate program and complained about some minus registrations that i noticed in the stats area. Despite some high profile space and an exclusive promotion i am finding it difficult to push any Playtech Casino products at the moment with the exception of the Wager Junction product – Windows Casino. I think that perhaps it is time for a rethink of strategy re Playtech products. The reason for the minus registrations was giving as down to credit card fraud even though no credit card activity had taken place. I think that this is very strange.

The gambling affiliate world seems to be settling down with business as usual signs up everywhere. We are still waiting as an industry to hear from Ecogra in regards to the Grand Prive Affiliates debacle and even though we have registered a form with them there seems to be no feedback at all from them whilst their investigation is going on. I am not sure what is taking so long. It seems to me to be an open and shut case. The affiliate program was shut – the online casinos continued , players kept playing and casino affiliates got royally shafted. I hope they are also looking at the movement of players between the Casinos as the Grand Prive Affiliate program was subsequently replaced by the Villa Fortuna Affiliate program.
While looking through my data today i came across a strange occurrence on the Bet365 Affiliate program.I noticed that i had minus registrations and minus first deposits. That to me is a little strange and i will be taking up the matter with the Bet365 affiliate team in the next week. I promise to keep you updated. Meanwhile our favourite RTG affiliate program – CWC Affiliates announced that they would be creating a new slots brand called Manhattan Slots.The incredible amount of new slot games being released by RTG are obviously a factor behind these releases and i think that slot players in the US are being treated to a brand new wave of fantastic games.

For Casino Affiliates and all other affiliates the premier conference of the gambling affiliate season happens this month. The London Affiliate Conference happens near the end of this month at the Old Billingsgate venue whichj proved to be a very nice one for the EGR Live conference. So as silly season approaches so do the accusations and shenanigans in the Industry. Apparently the people behind CAP also maintain an interest in LAC and there have been all sorts going on at the forum boards this week.
Some Casino Affiliates will not attend due to the apparent interest- as for myself i don’t really care to much, i am going to network with other gambling affiliates. I do however understand the concerns that affiliates would have – to travel and take the time and expense getting to a conference that has association with how can we put it, a less than forthright company must be galling to say the least. As i live in London i get the best of both worlds.
Last week i posted an article detailing GamblingAffiliate.org favourite Affiliate Programs. I felt that i should single a particular program out. The CWC Affiliate program is the Casino Affiliate program for a number of highly regarded RTG Casinos. Amongst those Casinos are Club USA Casino and Aladdins Gold Casino with Lucky Red Casino bringing up the tail. This Casino Affiliate program has been converting and retaining players for me over the last year in an incredible fashion. It is now my number 1 earner and according to stats my top retaining program. They must be looking after their players well and they could teach a few programs out there that do a lot of media advertising a thing or two about running a decent upstanding casino affiliate program.
